Help a fellow MH'er get his first bike

I've been on MH for years now without owning a motorcycle. Not saying I haven't ridden one, just never owned one. So help me get my first bike by checking out this link and supporting me in this effort in any way you can.

Be sure to spread the word if you can it would be greatly appreciated!

LOL

I applaud your effort to "raise money" but you can't realistically expect people to just hand over money they've worked hard for so you can buy a luxury item. It's like asking people you don't know to help you buy a big screen TV or some fancy rims, etc.

Makes me think of a guy holding a sign on the side of an intersection but asking for a motorcycle instead of food and doing via the interwebz.

Good luck with your jmeBADASS needs a ninja 250 foundation effort but i wouldn't keep your hopes up for much success.

TRUE....kickstarter projects....i guess if peeps got money to throw around. ain't no giving here.

I've seen people do it in the music business....collecting money to produce music videos, etc., but it came with some sort of tangible return....i.e. personal signed guitars, signed t shirts, recognition at the end of said video, concert tickets, etc.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but if you don't have anything to save, how on earth do you expect to afford the MSF course, gas, insurance and gear?

I am positive if you looked very carefully at your budget you could find SOMETHING you could get rid of or modify in order to buy a bike. You would also wisely consider getting anything but new.

For example - here's an excellent example of a first bike:
http://houston.craigslist.org/mcy/3083760552.html

Or perhaps this one:
http://houston.craigslist.org/mcy/3092512653.html

Seriously man - there are options.

So you want a brand new motorcycle for your first huh?
Must be nice. I've never owned a brand new vehicle despite my degree.

Tell you what, do you have a budget set up for yourself? Like Honors was saying I bet I could determine where your extra cash is going to. If you truly don't have anything to spare, motorcycles are like any vehicle, you have to consider maintenance, gas, insurance, gear, tires, etc into your costs...

(I'm a financial analyst)
