Yessssssss. So there are ways around it. Good for liquor drinkers but bad for beer drinkers.

CUZ, you can ride w/ us in the truck... but if we all decide to bring our bikes, your bike wont fit. I refuse to leave my bike behind and ride 2up, haha.

If you are outside city limits... you can drink all you want in the open.

Sooooooo many people think this ban affects the whole river... it does NOT. Call the place you plan to rent tubes from and ask.
Floated from mountain breeze last weekend with 5 12packs of Summer Shandy, XX, and Shiner Bock.... all in cans ofcourse... no glass.

Ok lets see what everyone wants to do....

I am going to be getting a room because my girl will be with me... for those that don't want to get a room can camp at this place...call ahead to get the best spot...

http://www.billy-goats-gruff.com/

We will meet at Abbots on the Horseshoe...at 10:00am we will float at 10:30am.

http://www.abbottsriver.com/

They rent tubes and rafts, and have free parking if we rent from them... with it being so packed we need the free parking trust me!!

I will post up an official thread soon that will have the details of the float times...

Sorry that we arn't camping but for those of you who are Friday or Saturday night we would love to come hang out at your camp site and drink...eat..bbq..etc... BYOB for sure....

Chime in and let me know if this works for you all.. please continue to offer suggestions on places...but we have had large numbers go to these trips and their are always tons of chiefs and never any Indians... so this plan has worked well for us in the past... There is also a store down the way and even a place you can bbq before floating.

The mosquitos will eat you alive before you even notice the heat. Theyre out in full force this year. Absolutely NONE last year camping, guess bc it was of the drought.
Cuong brought a car battery for me..we plugged it in and bam! we had electricity for our 2 fans in our tent. I cant rough it out too much. lol.

If we're not camping, I think Im out yall. Just going to go to Galveston n bbq out there instead. (we just went on a road trip checking in & out of hotels, need to change it up) Ill be on the lookout to see if theres a group of folks who will go and camp though.

Knock on wood... there were ZERO mosquitos where we camped last weekend. We were astonished. Didn't wear bug spray or light any candles or anything.

Still debating this, it sounds fun.. I have a tent to add to the masses but i would be bringing my family...and that also means no bike for me, unless we take the car and bike. If i do go ill buy some yard guard for the skeeters- it usually lasts 30min to 1 hour before re-spray.

I also would not be able to go the 6th cause i have to work in the morning.
Let me know the plans and ill decide ASAP to come and camp out IDAZZLE!
