Ok sounds like we have some takers. Let me work out details and I'll get right back. So which river do you all wanna float. I'll call a tube rental tomorrow and see about the alcohol thing. We go where we can drink for sure. Friend has a time share on canyon lake. We could possible get a boat one of the days too. Just a thought.. Camping is tons of fun and it's cooler by the river too!

What other water places are there that you all have been?

Ideas..

What kind of boat are you talking? Pontoon that seats ~8 or double decker that can have like 20 ppl/50 ppl and has a slide? Or something else?

Ive only been to Comal, tubing wise..its man-made n clean, only ~1.5 hr float, and no liquor, but Im sure yall all know that already.

What Hope n I go to the comal we usually float with minimal stuff, sunblock, camera, ciggs (if you smoke) and cash. Don't know if it's still there but at the bottom of the tube shute on the comal. At the top of the hill has great burgers n stuff, and good margaritas. We also had a container (flask) and just bought cokes at the burger place. Just an option for y'all. One way around it. Also we road one time to the end then again then ate. Have fun, be safe.

From luckyxdevil1's phone using, my phone.

Just floated this week.
Low & slow...still had a good time!

The no alcohol is city limits only, so the entire Comal river is included in the Ban.
The people at the Silver Leaf Resort told us, no alcohol pass the Gruene Bridge. That pretty much allows all of the Guadalupe to have adult beverages!

My favorite part of the Guadalupe River to float, is from Rockin R, 2nd crossing to Gruene (about a 4 to 6 hour float)

$15 to rent a tube, with a bottom.

THANKS for the info. We needed that vital information.
Ok, sooo..when we float the Guadalupe is there a shuttle to take us back to the starting point? Know anything about that?

If I go anywhere I go to the Frio. It is much cleaner and less crowded. Yes, it is a longer drive but worth it.

I can bring my trailer (5x10) if needed. 4 people can ride in comfort in my car.

I floated Guadalupe this past weekend.
Camped at Mountain Breeze (they have a website), rented the tubes from them, got in there, floated 6hrs, and they picked us up to bus us back.
The river was low. At 140lbs, I could float just about all of it... the 200lb friends were about having to walk (but they walked way more than even they needed to)

NO alcohol ban at this part of the river (well, they have a min container size, to make jello shot cups illegal). They have take outs every 2hrs or so if you don't want 6hrs. We used our own cooler in their tube.

The people who floated recently--Is it possible to make alcoholic drinks in our water bottles or gatorade bottles?

I found if you buy a couple 6 packs of country time lemonade, empty the contents. Mix your own margaritas, put into empty bottle. Looks just like the lemonade. Done it many times. Galveston and the river. Hope that helps get yo drank on.
