strange sounds, need mechanic

I have a Yamaha fz1 that is making a strange whining sound around the cam chain area. I'm looking for somebody with decent rates to service it, as I've taken the bike apart and cannot find the culprit.

also need valve adjustment. anybody know somebody with good prices? money is tight at the moment...

Have you had the r/h engine cover off recently?
There's 2 pins that locate the cam chain guides that can come out allowing the guides to fall down.
I've also seen the pins rub on the ignition rotor.

No. I haven't even taken off the valve cover yet, and.I probably won't because it doesn't seem like I will be able to do much

Not the valve cover, the right hand ignition cover.
It's the smaller of the 2 side engine covers on the right side of the bike while sitting on it.

Yes, with the small sprocket behind it that holds the cam chain. The guides and chain seem to be fine
