Ride Smart Taichi

On my way to ROT this weekend i decided to detour through San Antonio and go check out Moto Liberty, since they're the official vendors in Texas for Ride Smart Taichi. Now i know 2 Wheel Toyz "carries it" here in houston, but their selection and size availability leaves much to be desired.

I must say, all their stuff is top notch. And they also had lots of Dainese, Held and Rev'it gear in stock in multiple sizes/styles. After browsing and getting lots of help from them i finally decided on the Ride Smart Taichi Crossover Mesh Jacket as i've been searching for a good summer jacket. The fit is great, and their level of protection is up there with Rev'it and Dainese. I selected the one color on my size they didn't have in stock, but no biggie they ordered it for me on the spot (Friday) and it got here today (Tuesday).

If you've ever worn Dainese and/or Spidi, their fit is exactly the same.

Yeah, the main mesh body is white and the thicker cordura in the abrasion areas is a light gray, with Red/white accents/designs. Figured if i'm buying a "summer" jacket, might as well be a light color. It has CE armor on shoulders and elbows and pocket for back protector. As well as the option to attach their chest protector.

Tiachi is good gear, but white does not wear well , gets dirty an shows it.

How much was it , and what other colors?

Does the main zipper have small teeth or big?

My BMW jacket is starting to annoy me cuz it has small teeth and if i don't get it right it comes unzipped

So far the best zippers I've used are on rev'it jackets. Big teeth, smooth operation, and an auto-lock feature.

Moto Liberty is awesome, I can't visit often because it eats paychecks.

I'm aware of the white gear issue. Its not a big deal to me. Visibility and comfort are. Teeth on zipper are big. Actually on par with the Rev'it airwave jackets. It was $179. They had a all black with grey accents and another one all black with red/white accents.

I love Ride Smart Taichi and wear a GMX Motion leather jacket that I bought at 2Wheel Toyz.

Mesh jackets don't do it for me safety wise but it looks nice.

I can't speak for the mesh stuff, but the Taichi leather crashes really well.
