Sid Shaddock / Fastline Minis CMRA Thanks

Sid Shaddock Thanks:

Sid had just 2 practice sessions to shake off the new track jitters running 1:36 to 1:40 laps in the morning. Race 3 saw a dissappointing 16th place finish in SSB, but with lap times dropping consistently from 1:34 to 1:25 as Sid gained confidence in the tires, suspension, and track line we knew his next race would be better.

In Race 6 Sid continued to soak it all in and dropped from 1:25's to a best 1:23 advancing from 15th down to a 5th place finish, his best so far this season. In his last few laps laps he slightly gained on 3th place Bolt and 4th place Dillon. Keep up the good work Sid, I see a podium finish in your near future. Time to practice a few race starts and get to bed before 3AM, lol.

Sid would like to thank Roger Albert, On-road / Off road for the overnight fork rebuild on the 2007 GSXR 600. Timing is everything... And P1 / SCRC for the sticky R-10 Bridgestone's and set up advice for the GSXR 600. Enoc G. (7th place) told Sid that Sid's elbow was just shy of the asphalt when he passed him. That is a good working tire / bike set-up!

Team Fastline Minis Thanks:

This weekend at MSRC was crazy fun, hectic, and with some nice after track hours relaxing.

First, HUGE thanks to the Plantation Inn on the Lake in Granbury and owner / fellow rider Dutch for the racer discount [1451 East State Loop 426 Granbury, TX 76048 (817) 573-8846]. Only 12 minutes from the track, on 377 on the north side of Granbury, with lake views, free breakfast, cold afternoon pool, and rooms for 4 for only $75 a night. Tips for Granbury nightlife led us to Karaoke at a wine bar, drinks and dancing on the Dock, lunch at the Marina on Brazos Lake, and Tacos Del Norte on the way home in Godley. Awesome hookups. We will be back. Granbury is a great place to visit for a CMRA weekend at Cresson.

Thanks to P1 Racing SCRC John and Brandon for the BT 003's, fork oil, spacers, and great set-up advice for the Fastline Mini Ninja 250. We ran smooth and crash free and managed to come in 5th in F4 Mini Endurance on Saturday on our bone-stock 30,000 mile street bike (in case you didn't hear us, neither did we. Gotta love quiet pipes, LOL). We finished just a half lap behind Sid's 2011 sponsor TDK in 4th (Thanks again Tim Johnson!!!!) and 2 laps out of 3rd. Sid, Kris, and I all had a hoot running short 30 minute sessions, talking about bike and track in between, and playing around getting comfy on the new sled. I can't wait for Hallet, it will be a blast.

And of course, a big hug and huge thank you's to all of the CMRA dedicated staff that makes this all go off without a hitch.

I may be super neanderthal and hairy and all, but Papa Bear? Come on, that's just not cool.
