Careless driver strikes again!!

On the way home yesterday I had somebody hit me head on. The reason she gave for turning into me was "she couldn't see around the truck in the turning lane". Of course she didn't have insurance, but with her outstanding warrants, stolen car, and the drugs they found on her she will be staying with the state for a while.

Fortunately, my gear did it's job, and all I have are bumps and bruises. I'll be replacing my destroyed gear immediately.

That is good news! Enough fatalities around here! A heart felt "Thank you Lord" is in order, for that one, if you didn't do so already!

Glad you are ok bro... Seems like there are tons of people uninsured.. the guy that hit my car was uninsured, my gf was sideswiped recently by someone with no insurance. I thought Texas had implemented some electronic checking ability in police cars to crack down on this sort of thing. This all happened within 2 months of each other.

I imagine your average stolen car isn't insured by the driver. :-)

Sucks u got hit but glad ur OK.. so many careless drivers on the road.. I know a girl who only rides bikes. Anyways she borrowed a friends car and creamed a dude on a bike.. she is refusing to pay for the friends car. The dude on the bikes medical bills or the cost to fix his bike... me off cause she totally screwed 2 peoples life's up and is trying to walk away and deal with 0 consequences. She used to always complain how ppl in carswernt courteous to bikers. Than she gets in a car and decimated one... and of course when the police showed up to the wreck no ticket was given...

At least the girl that hit u is being punished

Cops can look up a vehicle's license plate number or hit the micro-chip in the state logo to verify the vehicle is insured; but this doesn't verify the driver is insured! Any wreck you can walk away from is a good thing!
