Noob in east houston

Hello all,
After taking my MSF course at Awesome Cycles, and getting my M endorsement two years ago, I finally bought an '08 Lime green Kawi 250r from forum member LRD a few weeks ago. It's my first bike, and I have been riding around after I get home for work almost daily. I intend to eventually use it to commute after I get comfortable riding it.

Being a bike noob, I am looking soak up as much knowledge as I can from any experienced riders as possible. I am in the east beltway/90 area so if anyone see's a lime green 250r/smoke chrome helmet rider, say hi.

Thanks guys.
I am not sure about group riding yet. I wouldn't want to run into anyone's bike. I wouldn't mind meeting up to see someone turn some wrenches on their machine though.
I did manage to change the oil per the owner's manual so I am not a total derp.

Welcome,

The monthly noob rides are meant to be slow paced, safe learning experiences. We go over group ride safety, hand signals, mentality while riding, and even some more advanced techniques just to give you some exposure. Additionally if you ever want to just go ride there are plenty of people here that are knowledgeable.

Most important rule:

Never let your ego get the best of you, always ride well below your limit so that you can react to situations safely and effectively.
