i agree, i found it pretty boring. i kinda like brookshire better myself. less traffic in my experiences and you can run the turns much faster.

Looks like FM1774 to FM105 to HW6 to FM3090 would be more fun. Is the reason you guys don't take that route due to bad traffic of just is it just preference?

Yeah I wasnt planiing on riding. I got Insurance with Geiko at like 12am so I could ride. So I just took off in the am and rode all day on my own. I wanted to take it easy with the new bike (new to me anyway).

Preciate the heads up, sorry to hear about that though. Was this 149 or 3090?

There is some nice ways to get up to 3090 from your area of town (My area as well.) and some nice roads that very few people know or ride along that trip. Your best bet is to meet up with some of the seasoned riders in our area.

3090 is a BLAST, but be VERY careful on 3090 your first time out there. I used to live 15mins away from it and we rode it often. On too many of our rides, someone in the group would go down. It is a blast though.

I didn't know everybody stopped at Yankee Tavern. One of my buddies I used to ride 3090 with, his dad owns that place. Good food there usually.

I almost hit a big hawk or owl or some big bird swooping across the road while I was going through. I'm not fond of 149 at all. Last time I was there, people were hauling in the other direction and I could see some crossing the lines. I was like that... the nice scenery ain't even worth it.
