Battery problems.

So my friend is having problems with the bike turning off. if you were at the central meet on the 6/6 he was the guy on the red n black gixxer which later we got stranded on beltway 8 it wouldn't start.

He bought a new battery and intalled it but he say it turns on then while riding it the power fades as he rides till it just turns off.

Could it be the startor or the voltage regulator?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd look to the thing that charges the battery, if the battery is dead after this happens.

In a car it would be called an alternator....

In a bike it would be the Stator or Rectifier...

Easy check is take a multimeter and check various conditions while running based on specs. You can google what amperage and voltage should be seen at different revs.

Motorcycles are like women... once you ride one... you wanna ride em all.
