Chinese Ebay Levers

I know these have been discussed before but now that people have had them for a while, I'm wondering how they have held up.

After doing some reading, there are a few people are complaining that the anodizing faded.
Seems like the colored ones are the worst, red to fades to pink and gold gets yellowy or even silver. The black ones, they say, hold up better but one guy said his black levers turned silver after a year or so.

What are yall's thoughts/experiences?

I personally am not a fan of anything but black levers, so its not really an issue. haha

Set of ASV shorty levers 150, Ebay Short Levers 45 shipped.

I could go through 3 pairs of the ebays before spending as much on a single pair of levers.

I have a black set. They function perfect, but they are changing from a black to a deep purple color. Only noticeable if you really look, if it bothers me enough I'll just spray them black again.

Seems like it's the same ol' Chinese story again.

They must be using a cheap grade of anodizing so it fades. On the otherhand is it reasonable to pay $80-100 for better anodizing on the pazzos or CRGs?

Seriously they're probably made in China too...

I've had my chinese made $39 shorty ASV clone levers for 10 months now and yes they'll fade alot faster if it's parked outside in the sun all day, everyday.

I bought these shorty levers because of their functionality over my stock GSXR's long levers. These short eBay China ASV clone levers do the job just fine, dropped the bike on its side, levers did NOT break, got scratched but did NOT break.

If asked would I pay an extra $100 to ensure the color would NOT fade, NO.

I just checked Pazzo's website.
A pair of levers cost $199+ shipping.

By all accounts the chinese levers are similar in function, if not beauty, but only cost $50 or less.

I can't see paying $150 to get better quality anodizing. In fact I can't believe anybody would. I think I'll be ordering some black Chinese levers and see how it goes.

personally I like the stock levers better. You can feel the inputs better. I the feel of the brake pressure better than the aftermarket. If your going for looks just make sure you can feel the pressure in the brake lever.. clutch isn't so much as sensitive for street.

paint quality really really sucks...
BUT.. for a quick replacement of stock, get's the job done. if anything, if you do buy them.. have them coated with clears if u want the paint to last.

My only complaint on them is the nut fell off the brake adjuster.

Even tho they have nyloc nuts I recommend a drop of loctite.
