Out of state title to Texas

I looked at a bike today and the guy has North Carolina Plates, and a North Carolina title.

What steps outside of a normal title transfer will I have to take to ensure the bikes paperwork are correct?

You have to get a bill if sale( seperate texas form). Also you will need to get the vin# verified when you get it inspected. Also the application to regester the motorcycle.

Yep, all the normal stuff plus a "green tag" inspection when you take it to the tax office. I think it is the same as a normal plus about $12, but I may be wrong on the price.

It's a dollar extra for out of state inspection.
