Question What do YOU look for in Bike Nights???

The Bikini Wash benefit was a success thanks to the Houston riders and friends.

Here at Texas Yamaha and Hugh & Jeff's we are tossing around the idea of doing bike nights...what do YOU as the rider look for when you attend a bike night? Is there anything missing? What would you like to see?

Help us to help you have a good time

I would like to meet some new friends, and enjoy a ride of some sort around the town after.
I hate just meeting up at a Starbucks on westheimer just to meet up lol

What do I look for?

Hm...free beer, food and .

What do I get?

None of the above but I usually have a great time on the rare occasions I attend one.

However, the bike washes are nice - i hate cleaning mine...

This too...man, I need to get street bike soon, because I miss being able to take the folks out on a cruise through the Clovers.

haha well we have the bay doors in the bar now and will be parking bikes at the bar for a little more up close environment, where you can show off and BS next to your bike instead of everything being parked out front and out of sight.

thanks for the input guys,

Parking the bikes up close to the bar seems like a great idea.

to me a bike night and a meet are two different things.
a meet is when the riders just plan a get together... it might be at some place like freebirds or PP1, but it is not about the place, it is about the get together...
the bike night on the other hand is all about the place, the sponsor and their efforts to reach out to the biking community...so a bike night for me is when i would go to check out the sponsor, what they have to offer. expecting specials or sales on their products. to the sponsor it would be a loss leader night or at least a low profit marging night, depending on volume and future sales to make the event pay off...
if it were a bar, i would expect any organized ride to be before the event, drinking and riding do not mix in my opinion. If it were a bike shop sponsored event, I would expect discounts on parts and specials on service, why go if I can get the same prices any time i stop in. to me a bike night is to get bikers who do not normally use your services to get to know you, know your facility and what you have to offer, it is an incentive to get them to try you out.
