I love my 250. After two years and 30k miles of riding a Ducati Streetfighter I wanted something I could commute on and save gas (not to mention Ducati maintenance :omg I was a little apprehensive at first considering the Duc has over three times more horsepower in a single cylinder than the entire Ninja has, however, it's a whole lot of fun. I have no problem navigating Houston rush hour or mid-day traffic at highway speeds or above. If you *need* to go above 100 miles an hour get something bigger.

One caveat: It neither stops nor turns like the Duc, but, duh.

I just wish a bigger selection then the Ninja and the CBR, where is Suzuki and Yamaha for this market.

Most people only keep them for a couple of months initially and then they change owners like a stripper on meth. I can't imagine the markup is big on these bikes and it's not like they're pouring them out the doors. Amurikans need big, fast and loud. Look at the rampant misconception about 250's here. In some countries 2fiddy is big!

There is also the hyosung gt250r but like I said in my other post hardly anybody knows about that bike. Its not a japan bike its a korean bike it looks good and bad but its top speed is 100 unlike then ninjas top speed of 110-115.

Yup. Said it earlier in this thread, probably not seen. so bump. Not a bad choice at all. Has pros/cons like the other bikes. Fit and finish may not be as thorough, as the other two, but is a physically larger machine. (600 size) not tiny, or 250 feeling at all(
