Ain't Nothin' Wrong with a Little Noob Cruise. June 9th.

Well I had fun on the last few noob rides and thanks to all the helpers! I invite anyone that wants to help to do so but not required!

"I need to get as many n00bs to come as possible to make this a successful noobie ride! Last time was a blast!"

See above... that was from the last noob ride and you guys came through in a big way! I had 30+ riders! Super successful... so in light of that I need to dial it back and set a limit to how many people show... sorry 30+ was a little out of my comfort zone so you will need to sign up as I am limiting this to around 15 + helpers.

Date: June 9, 2012
Ride category: Noob - Posted speed limits through the corners
Destination: Route is Pearland to Brookshire. Prolly eating lunch at the hole in the wall Mexican place near the end of the ride.
Meet Spot: PP1 but may have a secondary meeting spot depending on route
Time: 8 a.m.
Mandatory Meeting: 8:20 a.m. (Only riders that attend the meeting may ride)
KSU: 8:30

There will be a secondary meeting spot! For those of you who live in Pearland or closer to Pearland than PP1.
Panera Bread
10621 Broadway Street #113 Pearland, TX 77584

Time: 9:00 a.m.
Mandatory Meeting : 9:10 a.m.
KSU: As soon as the meeting is up.

This means don't be late.. I will be on a strict schedule and if you aren't there for the meeting you will not be allowed to ride!

Leader/ Leaders: Thayleal , TBD
Sweeper/ Sweepers: TBD
Minimum gear: full-face Helmet, Jacket, gloves, knee protection (optional but suggested), ankle high boots, ICE card in jacket chest pocket or right pocket.

Rules:
1) No passing.. Maintain your position in the group, until, sweeper decides to make necessary change.
2) If you are going to want to go faster than posted speed limits then choose another ride.
2) 3 car length distance maintained while in motion.
3) If you feel you are uncomfortable at all with the pace let the leader know.
4) Have fun - No incidents is the goal.. just a fun friendly ride.
5) No showboating, wheelies, or general jackassery.. we are here to promote safe street riding habits.
6) Don't be afraid to ask us to slow down if you are not comfortable.
7) Know your limits, ride within them... we will not leave you.

You are appealing to "noobs" but make no reference to what "ICE" means, "PP1" means, or what part of town you are talking about.

ICE = In Case of Emergency. has emergency contacts should the worst happen.

Fair Point... I guess I figured a majority of the "noobs" who have come to one of these rides are aware of where PP1 is.

I mentioned there might be a second meeting spot depending on the route I choose... and that will be determined a little closer to the date..

Thank you for the constructive criticism.. I will try to meet your requirements on my next ride.

There will be a stop for lunch... regardless of the route. I was going to try and choose the route so that it catered to the people that sign up... so for example if a majority of the participants live up north then I would choose a more northerly route.

Thanks Bevo for filling in the gaps and I would love to have you sweeping! You can even give me some pointers!
