the cadillac driver did not injury or kill the motorcycle rider hence he did not kill a person and manslaughter would not be what he is found guilty of... more like dui and reckless driving to include any additional add ons they can get for licensing of the driver and/or the car. The motorcyclist caused his ownself to die by reckless driving.

Just FYI! The driver of the Cadillac is still in jail on a $30k bond. Guess the guy can't afford to bond out! That's what the DA's office is banking on. Can't afford to bond out means you can't afford an attorney means you will be more apt to plea bargain....sucks for the people that have no money or means to help themselves.

This is very sad to hear! This why I teach my son now about saftey and gear
he never rides without a helmet. and usually has his jacket on. Even though he has all this and rides good I would still want him to wait til he was 18 to even think of getting something like a 600! 250 should do him fine till then. Besides he's going to need me when it comes to getting one anyway.

somehow I doubt, if he was driving a Cadillac XLR which is near $80k, he doesnt have money for an attorney. But then again, he could live in a shack and can barely afford the gas to "race" that Caddie...
