coolant question

I have a question, is it okay to use car coolant on a motorcycle?

what flavor, green or red?

I think the green is OK, should all be ethyline glycol

all it specifies is High quality Ethylene Glycol with currossion inhibitors for aluminimum engines and to mix that with distilled water

I use what my bike specifies, nothing else. Im sure if I used just any coolant and it wasn't the right kind, it would mess my system up if prolonged use occured.

Nealy any off the shelf coolant these days will be fine. There can can even be mixed. Just buy the 50/50 mix and be done with it. You can also mix Water Wetter or similar products with distilled water. This combo will run cooler than antifreeze. Its easier to clean up too.

I think it's also not as slick, so not so much a a hazard if you run through a patch of the stuff mid turn

I have been wrong though.
