Slip On loan

Purchased a slip on for my 2010 R1 which I think is responsible for some mad popping on roll off and on.

Mods Airbox mod, smog plates, ecu re-flash,power commander dyno maped slip on.

Managed to eliminate the aggressive decel popping by bunging in -60s in my 0% throttle range, hardly ideal. Still have crazy banging rolling on and off at higher rpms.

Tried all combinations of maps and set ups no luck, planning to purchase another slip on this time not a low mount. Before I throw even more money at this bike, was wondering if anyone had an exhaust they would "lend for a couple of hours to see how the bike runs and confirm its an issue with the current low mount slip on. would be gutted if i go and buy another exhaust and its still popping like mf.

Sounds like you have an air leak on the exhaust...

Slip On

Its looking more more like the exhaust (leakage) but I was hoping to test another slip on so I could ship this one back to the Uk and tell them its no bueno.

The map was dyno tuned and has been tweeked every which way with the same results.

try some red high temp silicone on all the slip joints. Let it cure overnight.

Sounds like you were just throwing generic maps at it off the power commander website. Probably need to have a professional tune......

What is the slip on? If its a low slung slip-on like your saying, sounds you have something like this
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2009-2010-20...82efd7&vxp=mtr

That in itself could cause the issue because the is designed to have so much backpressure......and that exhaust is like running an open header.

The way I read it he did it himself. Just playing with the tables in the PC software. Could be wrong though

That's a lot of trouble from a slip on. I cant see pulling ALL of the fuel from 0% though. There is such as a thing a too lean on the decel.

Slip on

This isnt like normal decel popping that Ive experienced with other slipons/bikes. Its mad banging particularly when rolling back on after a sharp decel.

Its not the map it has been tuned on a dyno then tweeked to death. I have been messing with this map for weeks but if anyone thinks they have soemthing specific that the power commander and jett tunning guys have missed then would love to hear it.

Popping one of a few possibilities:

Exhaust Leakage (rtv currently curing test tonight) or lack of back pressure (Thus looking for loan of a ypipe and slip on).

KN air filter (gonna try swappn this back to stock and test).

Airbox mod removal of snorkel (doubtfull and pretty much f**kd coz Ive cut it now anyway).

Jett Tunning ECU reflash (last resort but was fine previously).

Soo........... Anyone up for lending me a ypipe and slip on for a quick test!!!

so "you're" tuning the map after a tuner has tuned the map?

Also, what brand is the slip-on? Its been asked several times, and still has no answer. Might help in trying to figure out the problem if we know what your working with currently.
