come on grinchy, the only reason race two was half as exciting was because checa lost the front. Otherwise it was the ducati show, again

thats like saying the only reason motogp le mans was so good is cause it was wet!!!!
It is was it is....

Checa owns that place and was half a second quicker than anybody else at that point...... silly silly mistake from a seasoned veteran....

They need to get Rea some top speed and help Sykes not wear out tires. I wish Honda would get back into AMA with factory support and get Kawasaki some help as well. Would give our series more depth in the field. Would have been cool to see the top AMA boys doing a one off with the big guys.

Here are some links to watch the race...EuroSport coverage, typically is far better than what you may be watching.

be sure to follow the link in the description for the Miller rounds.

WSBK is anything but the ducati show at the moment. Other than race 1, they were outside the top 5 or more. Checa gets on good at Miller but otherwise Ducati not in a comanding position... Of course, this is by design with WSBK and without a factory team in the mix, Ducati can't threaten to quit when they don't get their way. Also I think there were some rule updates this year on how the rolling handicaps (weight per mfgr) are calculated from race to race and that could be a factor here...would need to look into that some more to recall exactly what the change was again... somthing to do with which rider or bike placing they base the handicaps on...

Championship standings after Miller rounds:
1. (1) Max Biaggi Aprilia Racing 160.5 points
2. (5) Marco Melandri BMW Motorrad 142.5
3. (2) Tom Sykes Kawasaki Racing 142.5
4. (3) Jonathan Rea Honda WSBK 141
5. (4) Carlos Checa Althea Ducati 130.5
6. (6) Leon Haslam BMW Motorrad 103

go ahead and research some more excuses, check the manufacturer standings and then get back to me. Although this year more bikes have been in the mix which is great to watching racing. Its also about time that other bikes become competitve, I mean the 1098r has ran since 07, its about time.
