Clubman Bars

Hey I was wondering where I could get some of these locally instead of online.

For my Gs500.

I plan on leaving my rear plastics off and probably changing seats. I want a classic flat leather seat like on a honda CB.

Maybe I'll remove the engine and paint the frame at some point as well as change lights. Simple circular tail light in the back.

i would recommend sam's cycle salvage in downtown. i think they are sponsors here? i have been there a few times and they have helped with knowledgeable staff, fair prices, and a load of random parts and bikes. find out what size clipon you need for your forks, and post here. there's always a chance someone here already has that part laying around, being useless and something that isnt money.

Good looking bike, I love cafe racers.

We can get several different models of clubman bars.
You may need to make some different steering stops so they don't contact the tank at full lock.

Oh yeah, I haven't visited Motorcycles Unlimited yet simply because I hate 45 but was gonna go anyway.

Hopefully you're an easier ride away. I live in central Houston right next to dynamo stadium.

This is the upper triple I've got from the GS500 front end. It's designed to have 7/8" bars clipped directly in, but don't know how similar/different this is from your stock setup. I'm missing one bar, and the other's bent, but the upper triple appears in decent shape otherwise.

Jae, i am interested in the front end. I have been pretty busy the last couple of weeks. i am free today and the next two days though. If you arent busy lmk and i can come get it. how much do you want for it?
also, i still need a rear shock. i have the 2007 gsxr1k shock still do you have a basic, no frills monoshock, about 17 inches long? i could trade you the gsxr shock.

also, Mr. xtelevisionset, i like your goal. i love nakeds.
good luck with the seat. that part is kind of a headache with my build.
dime city cycles sells a leather wrapped cafe seat for only 170 or so. pretty decent price.

So you just get small bars to just stick in the holes and then tighten it down.

I always liked the look of clubmans and after seeing the Honda from the girl with the dragon tattoo, it convinced me to finally chop away at some frame.

I was ready for clip ons though.
