Boots recommedations?

Sup guys

I'm looking to get boots. Considering these:
Sidi Vertigo:

http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...igo-Boots.aspx

Alpinestars SMX Plus

http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...ts---2010.aspx

Mainly going to use them in everyday riding.

Anyone had any experience with those boots? or know a good pair I can check out? The Vertigos are a little bit too pricey. I was looking to get something for about 250 or less. Id consider used boots as well but not TOO used.

Any suggestions would help
Thanks!

For everyday riding I'd go with a touring boot. You'll get most of the protection and a lot more comfort off the bike.

I had the Sidi Vertigo boots with my last bike. Sold them after the bike was sold. I'm about to buy a new pair of Sidi Vertigos from 2 wheel toys today! Highly recommend them.

Sidis for SURE. I went from an Alpinestars SMX-Plus to Sidi Vertigo Airs and LOVE them.

Do they offer the same protection? In the pics they look like they have less protective parts on the outside.

Any models you can suggest?

So far im leaning towards the vertigos as well. Plus I saw a used pair on craigslist that seems to be in good condition..waiting on the seller to respond.

Edit: Anyone know who carries these in stock? I want to go try them both on since I have my feet are a little wide too lol

Thanks

I use http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...oof-Boots.aspx year round. They are a little warm during the summer though, but are very comfortable.

These two look similar, but are probably better suited to summer riding.

The best is the basic black can pass as a work boot, you won't sacrifice much safety and won't look like a power ranger.

Hmm..I need to go see those in person..because from those pics they sure don't look protective at all. Thanks!

In case anyone find this thread in the future......

The boots came in 2 days ago. Rode them for about 250 miles. They're very comfortable, I even leave them on while I'm at work. A little bit narrow but nothing too bad. I don't know if I just need to get used to them more or not but they get stuck on the pegs sometimes which is annoying. Otherwise great boots, i love them.
