TMGP round 3, 2012 review

We had a great weekend. The weather was perfect, a little on the warm side, but with a good breeze it was not bad.
The weekend races went off with out one yellow flag, no body down and no body hurt, you can not ask for more.
There were a few more spectators than normal with some folks who had read about it on the forums and just stopped by to see things for themselves. I figure one or two are now looking for a bike to run.
Zerobounds was out taking pics so there will be some evidence of the weekend available soon.
I had my best races so far this year, but there were some fast folks out there and i managed no better than 6th place and my worst was 8th place, but that was still in the middle of the pack.
Some of our MH folks can really get it, 10MM can move that honda of his.
The only injury I noticed was to the motor on the bike belonging to Rob78, I am pretty sure there is not supposed to be a billow of blue smoke coming out of the exhaust on a 4 stroke, Jason Canuck said Rob was killing misquitoes, but there were not any out there this weekend, so I am not buying that story.
The kids races were a hoot and a couple of those boys are fast. There is one boy has his mother bring him and you should hear her talking to him in the pits, man i need to get her to watch me and give me instructions between races, that woman does not seem to miss a thing.
Overall it was a great weekend, the kind to leave you wanting the next race to hurry up and get here.

It was definitely fun to watch, there were some long battles out there on a couple of those races. Watching the NSR's duke it out was really cool.

All the pics are up. There are still a few left that are keepers but nothing exciting. If you don't see one of yourself let me know and I'll go through the pics again.

well the next katy race is September so i'm pretty sure i have plenty of time lol

Gonna get with Pat to help me with tires and hopefully be playing out there next weekend. I like riding, races are just a plus =) Just need a few regulars that go out there to link up with so I'm not riding alone like the last few times I went out.

week days are hard for me to get out there and practice... I will need to get some practice in once I get the new front end on the bike...
yesterdays was a real blast, I felt like I had my best day so far, even if the finishes did not back it up...but there was a lot more close stuff and I got the to do some passing inside on a couple of the turns...my wife got nervous as there was a bike on my for a couple of laps, and in the turn right in front of the stand his front tire was right on my rear tire... she had to walk away, she was afraid we were going to go down... he did pass me at the end of the straight but I got him back coming out of turn 2...good thing she did not see the handlebars almost touch.

Thanks for taking the pics. Close racing all day. I saw a bunch of gopro's out there - should be some good videos.

Rob you tear into it yet?

Thanks for the props Obed.

Zerobounds great photos - if you have any more of the 437 bike and I'll buy some at the end of the week.

Sorry I bailed early - had a base gasket that started leaking just enough to be an issue. It was heartbreaking as I felt good Sunday and having this happen was a lot like that really hot girl in high school getting ya all worked up for nothing. Except this hurt more as I *love* riding and racing.

Oh well, got it all apart and will be ready for sprints in Denton.

, you and Thomas won it did you not? You write a review of it and be sure and tell how Thomas did fewer wheelies this time.
