Thanks for the welcome everyone.

If you don't mind me starting right in with the questions . . .

Any opinions on SV650 v. CBR 600 F4i as a first bike? I had thought about the Suzuki in the past but somehow recently got stuck on the Honda. It seems like a choice between getting beat up by the wind and possible wrist and back discomfort from the sportier riding position.

Any feedback greatly appreciated.

I have a sv650s. It has a big front fairing. Very good ergonomics. I can't speak about the f4I but I can't imagine it has that much difference in riding position between the two.

Welcome to the forum. Make sure you don't buy a too beat up of a bike to start out. It would ruin your enjoyment with the sport(?) and headache with the wife nagging on repair bills.
