Group Buy for TomaHawk tire warmers..

Hey Guys,

I know me, Eric and Patty have been looking for deals on tire warmers since a few months now. All of us just wanted entry level tire warmers @ a decent price.

So i finally found someone in CA that is willing to give me a big discount on Tire Warmers.

Here's the deal.

These are mid-level tire warmers.
Brand is TomaHawk.
Brand New Set.
for more info click here: http://www.cycletires.com/tirewarmer.htm

Anyways they cost $275 new (look @ the link above).

The price i'm offering you guys if we buy as a group if $215 shipped ($15 is for shipping), so your basically paying $200 for the set.

You won't find new tire warmers for $200 of a mid level tire warmer brand.

I was hoping to score a deal with Tire Sox of a group buy, they are an entry level buy but could'nt get in touch.

So please post up if your interested and can send me paypal or pay me in cash $215. So then i can have the guy send them to me. I would like to do this before the first track day (5th of Feb).

all interested please post up, additional comments and concerns related to this item can also be posted - but please no whoring..

You did notice that they will only fit up to 180 rears right? That leaves the guys on 1k's with 190's out. What are you running on your 1k? I know there is a guy on WERA board that sells the Tyr Sox brand for 175.00. Or Fred Chapman in the CMRA is a dealer for them as well. I've used those and they are a VERY good intro to tire warmers, and you'll get most, if not all ,your dough back when it comes time to sell them. My .02

FYI most 190 section racetires are 190/55 or larger. 190/50 is a common OEM tire size.

Yea i plan to use em for my SV, which they will fit fine.

If i take the GSXR i can use the same ones for the track.

I do not intend to put race tires on the GSXR since i wont be getting serious with it on the track.

John can estimate you on that..

As far as i remember they were over $325

these are running $200..

so $325-200 = 125

The tyrsox were onsale for 175 shipped, but that was just for the holidays, they're back to $250 now. These look similar to the chickenhawks. Just check....200 for group buys.

Spending an extra $100 or more on tire warmers is not a good idea. Save that money for something else. Get the Tire Sox from Richard and pay less (I know he'll do a group purchase for a lot less than the Tomahawks). You aren't getting any additional benefits from spending more money on the other brand.

I also don't know where you're getting the "entry level" and "intermediate level" regarding tire warmers from either... I used Tire Sox for 4 years, my team mate Travis has been using them almost since their inception, my old team mates used them for 4-5 years... hardly "entry level".

Focus your money and energy with your track bike elsewhere. Worrying about tire warmers should be so very low on your priority list. If you have this extra money burning a hole in your pocket, I can suggest a laundry list of other things for you to get for your bike- not to mention the money you should have squirreled away for track days and tires.
:notworthy

I tried getting the Tire Sox from Jason Keene, but no luck. His friend that has them never got back. As for the other Wera guy that sells Tire Sox, i have no means of getting in touch with him.

If you think its not worth it then..

Deal's off..

Everybody - please excuse me, but the deal is off - no more group buy.
