Do they not sell sports bikes under 250 cc in the US? For example the Honda CBF125.

not really, there is no market for them over here. Everyone here wants the biggest fastest "cool" looking thing they can get. Motos are not realy used for transportation in the states.

not so much for biggest baddest, but those 125-150 aren't designed to be running on 70mph highways, that's why you see them more in europe or asia because average speed is about 30-40mph highway.
