Question Where do you consider the most dangerous areas in Houston for riding?

I noticed that there are a few hairy spots in Houston where cars operate without a care in the world for bikers. A few spots I noticed are at the Chimmney Rock on-ramp (east bound/west bound) to 59. Oddly, the U-turn at beltway 8 and I-10 west. The 610 merge to I-10 west/east from the galleria area and lastly, the 45N merge from I-10 west. You guys be safe out there. I have had some "near misses" at each of these spots. Thank goodness I have a bike that accelerates so quickly! Anybody know of ay other spots? I mean Houston in general sucks but spots where you really need to be alert?

I also figure the time of day aslo plays a factor. And at each of these spots I have usually had a problem midafternoon (when I am headed to work). So, yeah, I guess you have to factor in the "time of day".

anywhere inside the beltway adds pucker factor to my ride...and i live right downtown, so the first 20 minutes to half hour of any ride and the same going back home, is the extra sweat factor for me.

59S merging to 610N. Traffic can stop at a moments notice. and as of today Kirby south of 59. Construction of roads makes for some interesting driving.

Last night I was making my way home on San jacinto or fanning, I can't remember at 2:30 am and some nearly hit me running a red light. My light had been green for a while too and had I been going any faster, I definitely would be in the hospital right now.

I would agree that the major freeway intersection exits are probably the most dangerous and 45 headed north out of Houston is something I dreaded riding when I was doing deliveries. Even lane splitting was risky due to the lanes being so narrow.

For the most part I feel safe on the freeway.

I honestly don't see how 75%(exaggerated) of Houston has a valid drivers license most of the time.
