So i'm confused....does this thing haul or did this guy do it as a project and put around town on it now? I'm not sure how they geared it, and I didn't see anything about speeds it is capable of

That's what I was thinking but I don't see any claims for top speed or acceleration #'s.... You figure they would make mention of that in the eBay ad....

Lol....on a stunt bike..
I guess he's just trying to get the most out of the brakes at the lowest cost and easiest resources
If he really wanted to have a proper braking setup he'd put some money into M/C, lines, calipers, pads, rotors, and fluid.

Its alot smaller then the Y2K bike that came to TWS (Texas World Speedway) a couple years ago if its on the Busa frame.

Cool aspect sure but I remember seeing the carbon brakes on the rear of the bike melted on that Y2K... kind of a scary thought on such a shorter wheelbase.

Y2K bike - Gas Turbine Helicopter engine 425 ft/lbs @ 2000RPM
"Jet" bike - Starter Motor for a jet engine 300 ft/lbs

The Y2K bike is capable of 242 mph....and 200mph in 15 sec...
Surely they can get this "jet" bike to haul some azz with proper drivetrain right?

I found an article where there was minimal explanation about the performance aspects of this bike. It was 'tuned' for reliability and ease of operation rather than high performance. No hard data was released, he said only that 'as-is' the bike could 'accelerate to 100 mph with ease.' And that more aggressive tuning could 'make the bike a monster.'

It looks like a MUCH nicer package than the Y2K bike, which looked unwieldy and slip shod. This bike looks more like a proper motorcycle. I'd bet that with better rubber and more wheelbase that you could make one of a LSR bike! Don't know about launch and acceleration but top speed could be phenomenal!
