citation help!

So I got a 2 tickets. One for no registration and the ither for driving on the shoulder. I was on my way to work on the feeder of the beltway and it merged into two lanes from 3 and everyone was braking hard as so i had no other option other than getting creaked under the back of a pickup so i rode on the shoulder for like a yard or 2 and I got back onto the lane and a cop saw me from the freeway and he pulled me over. Tried to explain it but it was a young constable so yeah. Does anyone know what's a place where I could go take a class to get it off my record? Cuz i can't ride right now cuz i dislocated my right knee :/ I need to take it within 30 days!

Ask the court if you can take DD

I've done so for a MC speeding ticket

He should be able to help. Sounds like something you might be able to get dismissed. Did he get you for speeding too?

Your story is a little confusing... But you will need to go to court and apply for defensive driving or the advanced safety course.

One of the new traffic laws that was signed last year was being able to pass on an improved shoulder. You should be able to get that part of the ticket dropped!

You can only pass another vehicle on the shoulder if:
that vehicle is slowing or stopped on the main traveled portion of the highway, disabled, or preparing to make a left turn

You should have stayed in the shoulder waited a minute while adjusting your boots or something and then got back in.

I was going the speed limit and i wasn't driving like an idiot!! Oh and it was suppose to say creamed* but yeah. I went to court today and they dropped the no registration once since I got registered and whatnot but they gave the ok to take DD. But i didn't dislocate my knee on the bike. I did it standing up in my garage while fixing my mower -___-

if you had to vear off the road to avoid getting reamed,

a) you were going to fast fro conditions
b) you weren't paying attention.

take your pick

if you got a moving violation on the bike, you should be able to take the Experienced MSF class to dismiss the ticket (if you already have your M endorsment). you can take reg. DD to dismiss the tickets if you already haven't taken it in a 1 yr period.

My answer choice is b. Final answer... Yes I do have my m endorsement! I can't take that class cuz of my knee cuz don't you have to ride? And I'm 19 so i can take a DD class as many times as I can within a year Lol. I've already checked it out! As long as I'm under 21 or 25. Forgot what age

If you are under 25 you are required to take a DD course for a moving violation even if you just pay it off.

I think he actually enjoys his job too. He never let me down. Got me off 5 violations in a day once. He has been my go to traffic lawyer for any court downtown for about 14 years.

Save DD for out of town stuff.
