Rider Down in front of HEB @ Aldine Westfield

About an hour ago. Kid's name is Jamal, don't know if he's on Motohouston. Has a gold triumph 675. He said he was trying to get away form a black late model civic si that was chasing him so he ran the light and got clipped by a cager. Compound fracture on lower left leg. EMS taking him to Ben Taub. Looked bad but obviously could be worse.

Send prayers for him and family.

Didn't ask him why he was being chased, I just asked him simple questions to keep him engaged w/ me rather than looking at the two inches of bone sticking out of his leg while we waited for EMS.
The civic took off, nobody got plates. I pulled up right after.

Modern cars and bikes will never become timeless classics. We have hit a stale era of vehicles.

As for open carry, I am hoping soon. I don't carry when I ride, because it's too hard to properly conceal. But there was only once where I thought I really might have needed it. This was a couple weeks ago on the way home from the Freebird's Central Meetup we had.

I was chased a couple weeks ago by a Blue Camaro with racing stripes, almost ran me over in a right turn lane, then proceeded to pass me in my lane. He then cut me off, and then locked up his brakes right in front of me. He took off again and then stopped in the middle of the street when I refused to pass him. After several cars went around us, I went to pass him, he cranked his wheel over and tried to run me over again. I turned at the next intersection, which unfortunately was less busy, so he then proceeded to turn off his headlights and get on my , honking his horn and swerving all over the place. The whole time, my pillon can see him laughing and pointing at us having a blast.

Found cops hanging at a gas station, and he took off. I gave them his license plate from when he stopped in the middle of the street. The cops refused to press charges or even call in a possible drunk driver.

Hope all goes well for the guy. And my wife can't wait to carry her gun. I don't think that's a good Idea with her temper and dumb drivers. Get well soon.
