Metered Parking

So i have to go into downtown tomorrow, i need to see a lawyer. (long story) i've been before, so i know i need to park in the metered parking area. I also know you pay with the electric meters that spit out a ticket and tell you to put in on the dashboard......how the would i park there on if i want to take my bike....or does anyone know of a good spot to park around franklin and main st?

Motorcycle parking is free at a meter in downtown.

I'll find the statute later when I get on a computer but I have never gotten a ticket on my bike at a meter.

Well I searched (mainly for my own knowledge too) and there isn't anything exempting motorcycles. But as I said, I've never received a ticket (my plan if I was getting a ticket would be to say somebody must have stolen it ).

Maybe it is unofficial policy. Park for free at your own risk. I will continue doing it.

Why not just find a parking lot with an attendant, spot him a few extra bucks to give u a primo spot, at least someone is around, prices vary between $5 - $20 last time I was in downtown

I ended up taking the cage there, just to be safe... i might be bold enough next time to park at the meters...if i can get away with it.

I wouldn't worry so much about getting away from a ticket or getting the bike towed as much as getting it stolen/vandalized.

Last time I was downtown with the bike and had to park it, I actually paid the meter and used some tape to put the ticket on the gas tank. However I got anxious with the number of homeless people walking around. They had nothing to loose if they decided to say... kick the bike. They looked already beaten...
