where r the nice roads to ride in Austin?

I'm hittin up my favorite city (Austin) next week for the holiday. I'm thinkin about takin my scooter down there to cruise around with my bro. I'd like to cruise around some nice scenic roads maybe next to the lake or something. Twisties with limited lights is ideal. Can u guys shoot me some starting points, Where can I find those roads?

There are tons. The farther away you get from the city the better.

If you're south, I like to go out 290 to the 'Y' in Oak Hill, then make a right onto 71 and then a left on FM 3238/Farm Rd 962/(Hamilton Pool Rd) and go all the way to 281. At 281 you can either go north and come back into Austin on FM 1431 or go south on 281 toward Blanco and come back on any of the awesome FM roads down there like 473 to 32 back to Wimberley and back through Dripping Springs. If you're coming back in on 1431 in the north you can hit up Lime Creek rd, too.

Motorcycles unlimited had a map of nice roads in that area. You should purchase one before your trip.
