Worn Chain and Sprocket

Was wondering if anybody knew if a worn chain and sprocket could cause rpm fluctuations while riding. Have a 2009 GSXR600 and while driving rpms fluctuate badly making it almost unbearable to ride since it bucks so bad when accelerating. Thought it was a fuel delivery problem but its not. At a loss any help will be greatly appreciated.

worn sprockets wouldn't really have that kind of effect unless it was so bad that the chain was slipping off of the teeth and it would be most noticeable under load. pics of the sprockets would clarify.

depends on when it does it, any change while idling and flipping the throttle in neutral?

Doubt it.
Bring it by and I'll test drive it, no charge.
