I dunno, mebbe would be nice to get rid of the guage pod and go for a cleaner look, but the cleaner look would involve no mirrors either.
interesting though

When I had my cruisers, I always hated the fact that it had speedo only and basic dummy lights. No matter how clean I wanted a bike to look I would still have mirrors. These would kill 2 birds with one stone. Get cool trick functions in a concealed package. That would be IF I ever get a cruiser again.

? would you actually be able to read them with all the vibration ?
I've not been on seen to many HD that you could even make out a car in the mirror much less those little numbers.
even metric cruisers would be questionable

Somewhere in there there is a sweet spot with little to no vibration. I guess your right though, you need to see the gauges all the time.

GOOD POINT and duly noted,
I didnt think of that but I'd bet money you see nothing but a red shaky blur now that you mention it.
