Turbo Busa in "Mexico"....(vid)

I'm still working on my GoPro skills....Obviously mounting the camera and keeping it stable is not my strong suit...

Anyway here is a quick run through the gears down in Mehico... This is with 19/47 street gearing so it doesnt have a lot of top speed but....it gets there quick... Make sure to watch it till the end.

You might have to watch it a couple times to see what all is going on...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0Mx0...ature=youtu.be

Here is some answers to some questions I KNOW I'll get...

*The green box is the boost controller, the number on the right is the boost it is making right then.

*Yes the speedo is calibrated with a Speedo healer, it is dead accurate with the GPS at 70 mph but it does get a little fast at top speed by about 10 mph.

*The red LED numbers on the top left of the dash is the battery voltage...Yes it drops when wot for a long time.

*The blue LED in the middle is the gear indicator if you can't see it in the vid.

*Yes I was just easing into it in 1st and 2nd, I went WOT in 3rd.

Thanks for watching!

MMMM...NO....no it was definitely Mexico....

I couldnt tell if it hit the limiter or not, when it does its real soft so its hard to say....Watching the tach it was still building rpms pretty quick when I let out... I may have had another 100 rpms or so....It MAY have touched 200 mph if I had stayed on it longer but, I didnt want to blower a head gasket or anything dumb...

Looks like the speedo at 205 max is actually 198 mph BUT the GPS is usually on a delay so....it may have actually touched a true 200 mph but I let out before the GPS caught up..Not sure.

I'm a go pull the data out of the logger and see if I hit the limiter or not..

198mphlog

It did hit the limiter...I just didnt feel it I guess...Its very soft at that speed...You can see the red line was still going straight (throttle position) but the rpms dropped and got all choppy... That was it, she was done...atleast with that gearing..

No its 4" over.... its actually about 3.5" back right now... Obviously it was just blowing the tire off in 1st/2nd gear, thats why the tach blew through the red line...That was about half throttle or so in 1/st/2nd....It will wheelie in 3rd if I just stab it in 3rd and let it spool.... In the video if you watch on the way back towards the gas station I rolled it on in 3rd and it started to lift real quick so I let out...If I stay in it sometimes its "unpredictable"..

LOL... I've never rode it that high... I've actually never rode it over 18lbs and that was with 19/38 gearing...(enough for 225 mph)..

Tall gearing REALLY takes a lot of the fight out of it...You just gain a lot more speed in each gear.

With 20/39 gearing I could probably ride it at 25-28 psi if it was lowered/strapped and on a race tire...on a good, smooth closed course. (Like Goliad).. It would probably run 240 ish in the mile with that setup...If it didnt blow its wad all over itself... No big desire to do this though...

MC Xpress 6 heavy springs/deep retainers and the 2 piece back torque limiter in place (it locks up at high rpms)...Poor mans lock up..
