Ridesmart - May 19th - a few questions

Well, my plans for this weekend just took a nosedive.

I've wanted to do a trackday ever since I started riding 8 years ago. I lived in MN up until a year ago and trackdays were far away, super expensive, and ALWAYS sold out. With nothing to do this weekend, and a non-sold out, reasonably priced event I'm contemplating registering. I do have a few questions.

If I get to MSRH early enough would someone be willing to help me prep my bike? I bought new Pilot Roads last year and they still have a ton of tread on them. I would need some advice on taping off mirrors/headlight and pulling the fuse for the brake light.

I know I have to sign up for Level 1 because I have never been on a motorcycle on a track, but I feel pretty confident with my at speed turns. Will I be allowed to open it up a little more even though the group may not be going my pace?

Lastly, and most hopefully, does anyone have room for a bike? I can probably borrow my friends truck to drive down there but having someone familiar to MSRH or Ridesmart in general would be really nice.

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

Never been at the track yet but going this sat. I thought you didn't have to turn off or remove any lights? Thats where the blue tape comes into play?

ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE SEND ME A PM OR TEXT ME (SENT YOU ONE ALREADY CHECK IT!)

* TO THE YES!!!!* BRING THE BIKE AND WE GOT THE REST! TOOLS.. TAPE.. WHATEVER!

I know I have to sign up for Level 1 because I have never been on a motorcycle on a track, but I feel pretty confident with my at speed turns. Will I be allowed to open it up a little more even though the group may not be going my pace?

*YOU RIDE YOUR OWN RIDE* NO MATTER HOW FAST YOU THINK YOU ARE.. IF YOU DONT KNOW WHATS COMING TO YOU. YOU WILL GO DOWN.
MSRH IS NOT ABOUT SPEED OR HOW FAST YOU CAN GO.

Lastly, and most hopefully, does anyone have room for a bike? I can probably borrow my friends truck to drive down there but having someone familiar to MSRH or Ridesmart in general would be really nice.

*I HAVE TO GET WITH A FEW THINGS TO SEE IF WE CAN GET YOU THERE.
IF YOU CAN POST WHERE YOU'RE COMING FROM THEN WE CAN SEE WHO IS CLOSE TO YOU SO WE CAN GIVE YOU A LIFT!*

IT WILL BE BETTER IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION.

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

Don't have to at all.. just tape right over them.

it will be a really good idea to take off mirrors, license plate.

That does sound like a pain to do.

I will try to remove the fuse instead just a matter of trying to locate it. Any ideas on where I should start?

almost everyone at a TD will offer you help, but just a warning if you drop your keys around Floyd it would be safer to kick them into a corner before you pick them up, just sayin

pulling the fuse in not a bad idea, but I have never done it and have never had the blue painters tape stick to anything. I have had some residue stick to the windshield, but a little WD40 took care of that. Just get your stuff together, get there a little early and folks will help you out.. go, have a good time.

I offered to take someone else's bike, otherwise I would help deliver.
But I can help you prep your bike in the morning.
I'll be under the awning with the blue/white CBR and Aggie shirt.

Running 5 minutes late to drop off the bikes. How stringent are they about locking the gate? Anybody at the track would you mind telling the gate keeper to hold that gate puh lease!
