Alright so who knows bitTorrents?

I'm looking to download this movie that has come out but only in a limited fashion. I know there are a few different methods of getting the movie but I've been told bitTorrent's would probably be my best option. Anybody know anything about them ? Preciate the help in advance...

The download program you need is called Azureus

It can be found here.

http://azureus.sourceforge.net/

Make sure you configure it properly with the encryptions.

Places to download are all over.

I use this search engine alot

http://www.torrentz.com/

Good luck and have fun.

Preciate all the info fellas...

I was trying this last night but once I downloaded, my files seemed to be grouped into a .cbz file. Never heard of this extension, is this typical or an exception?

When you guys download torrents does it take a long time cause when I try my download speeds jump from like 4kbps to maybe 36kbps, sometimes 60 or 80, and then back down to 4kbps. I try different torrents but I get the same thing. It takes forever and I wonder if im doing something wrong or is that just the way it is. btw, I use Utorrent as my downloader and use torrentspy or torrentreactor as my search engines. And limewire pro works great

it varies. a lot depends on the Seeder/Downloader ratio. i love torrents personally, but i'm never really in a rush to get what i'm Downloading since I already have 1000s of songs I haven't listened to yet. for newer, popular albums you can usually get speeds up to 200 kb/s, but for files with only 1 or 2 seeders you might only get 10-15 kb/s, if that.

oh and pending YOUR connection.. speeds vary... at work my average DL is about 20-50 Mb/s... at home i can get up around 250-300Mb/s you download from up to 50 users at the same time and it takes a little bit from each in stead of trying to get the whole file from one user...

(my work connection is CHEAP dsl, home is Premium road runner)

Well take a look at these pics. The first one is when i tested my speed and the second of a download in progress thats been there for more than two hours with just a little over 50%. And in the second pic you can see the seeders and the peers. Do you think this is normal?
