Yeah, technically it was her fault but the car driver seemed to be asleep at the wheel for sure.

That was the car's fault. Cut and dry.

Look at how slow they were accelerating after making the turn. The van that was just in front of them is now way down the street.

Excessive speeding of the driver. he already passes one bike on the same lane practically and then slams to the bike in front of the first bike. Driver not paying attention.
Speeding/passing lane is the left one, that is why the riders went to the right lane which has frequent stops and turns. This is essentially a residential area with a speed limit of equal or under 50km/h.
Driver was probably going 100km/h in his turbo charged Zastava

In the end, she is ok, bike is ok, driver will buy them a drink, apologize and that is the end of the story

Definitely bike's fault. I've seen cagers pull out in front of me like that before and I braked so hard my ABS didn't even work. That's some annoying .

There are people in Houston who do this to get paid.
One jumped in front of a friend of mine so he rear ended her a little bit, she got a paper from a doctor buddy that said she has massive health problems, and sued him for 30 grand.
Too bad she and the doctor don't realize there exist defense lawyers, so it didn't work.
