TMGP/Mini meet feeler.

Would there be any interest in a TMGP/Mini meet?
Maybe have some of the guys who race TMGP bring their race bikes for folks to see how they are set up. See what you would actually have to do to get a bike and get it ready to come play with us at TMGP.
Does anyone have a place that we could meet that would have a parking lot that we could use in case we wanted to ride the bikes and show you what they can do, give you a chance to ride one that is set up to see how it feels to you.
I am calling this thread a feeler thread to see if there would actually be any interest. I know that TMGP means a lot to me, I realy enjoy it, but I would hate to try and set something up that is of no interest to the rest of the MH community.
If anyone is interested, I know that I and my bike would be available and I figure I can count on a few more of the TMGP guys to assist.

In my opinion, you should try and work something out with the Monday Night Minis folks. Give it an overall flavor of minis for everyone that loves minis. Might help to bring a larger crowd to the table.

not a bad idea at all. The only draw back I see is that on their thread they state no spectators, and spectators is what I am looking to draw... I hope that the spectators become TMGP riders but they may not have a bike, or not have a bike that is currently set up for pavement. It would be cool though if we could get some of the MNM folks that already have bikes interested in running them on something besides a parking lot.

How about just organizing with the next Central Meet? Good turnout + we can join in with the slow races!

I'll willing to bring out my mini and let others check it out.

I dont think that the MNM crowd would be opposed to spectators for an event like this, the meet has actually been droppping a little bit in attendance, and once somebody sees how much fun they are they almost instantly go get one. Problem is, is that the 50's arent really good for TMGP. Shoot themagicman, kdog, icecreamman and some of the other regulars at MNM a PM and see what they think. I would show for sure even if I cant ride.

Obed I have already made up my mind and will be acquiring either a crf150 or a klx110 for the next season of TMGP and Flattrack racing so I can get involved in racing and get my son a early start in the scene. Im really excited about, and was drooling over that klx110 that was posted for sale with the tard set-up. Dont worry I'll be giving ya'll a run for your money in Katy next season FOR SURE

sure looking forward to seeing you out there... the 110 would give you more available races than the 150 would...
won't be long and you and the boy can be an endurance team.... be here before you know it.

I'm to lazy to look it up, when is this season over, and when does the new one start?

that is the endurance day, you will have a blast and get to see all the classes in action at the same time. I will likely be corner working, but if not and you see the old white haired man be sure and say hello.

this statement isnt entirely true...

the 50's stock if nothing else would allow someone to experience TMGP to see if they like it.. If they like it they can either slowly mod the bike to be competive or pick up something else but they would still be able to experience racing TMGP to see how it all works. There have been serveral fast 50's come out and be more than competive, look at the 70 that kib owned, it won F7 endurance..granted it had a big bore kit and a few other mods but it was a fast bike!

I'd be down for this! Maybe do it at a spot that isn't our MNM meet. I kind of like our privacy.

My fiddy is slow though!

Yeah, everyone is welcome, and I hope they come out.

Would be a lot of fun to see them and watch them race (slowly)
