Talking 1st LSTD Track Day

the 1st LSTD track day is sneaking up on us on Feb. 5th.

I'm not quite ready but, for those of you who don't have a schedule printed out and hanging on the wall beside your desk (like i do) we are getting very close, registration should be open any day now, keep an eye out for Jeff to post up "open registration".

If you are interested in cornerworking you need to hurry up and get with Henry@lstd.com to get yourself situated in a turn.

The first trackday will be held at TWS (Texas World Speedway) college station.

See Patrick for all of your goodies that you'll be needing this season.

for more info, go here. http://www.lstd.com/html/index2.html

Im here in CS and will be coming out to TWS (Texas World Speedway) on the 5th. Im not coming to ride, just check out the scene and meet some of you in person. I dont want to dedicate to Henry that I can work a corner since my plans aren't solid yet.
See you guys there!

Macman, Jeff and Wade were giving me a hard time because I "won" the race at the last TWS (Texas World Speedway) event... "Oooo, way to go Tommy, you're so fast beating up on the prov-novs!"

Jody Hudson was on his Aprilia motard while I was on my friend Travis' GSXR750. Jody and I were dicing it up in the corners (he has mad skillz anyway- if he'd had a bike bigger than a 650 or whatever it was, I never would have seen him again!) and having a blast. The guy that was the fastest in the prov-nov group was doing pretty good. I started from the back of the pack and had him by lap 2. He stayed with me and Jody for about a half lap and gave up. I think my best lap was a 1.54, and the others were right around that time... WAY slow for a 750 real race.

I feel pretty bad for enjoying myself... :eh: (not!)
if thats the case, you guys had already pitted by the time i was starting my cool down lap :laughing6

i do remember passing up a 10r going into T1 and feeling pretty good about that, so i picked up my pace some so he wouldn't pass me. :icon_bigg i just got lucky or he decided to back down from that bad 636 i was on, maybe he thougt it was Brandon, since i had his OLD plastics

Not "technically" an expert though... I haven't sprinted since '88/'89. When I started racing again 4 years ago, I have only done endurance so never did sprints to move up to white plates. MY bike has yellow plates:

This is the bike I was on:

how much for a paint job like the first pic? PM a price range if you dont already have a set price list.
