Ken, I am sooooooo jealous! This is something I want to do soon. My sister lives is Whitefish Mt. I got the chance to ride my dirtbike around some of the backroads. It is f'in gorgeous up there.
Have you checked out AeroStich btw? They have seriously amazing waterproof & any other kind of gear you might need. ENJOY my friend.

Is your givi setup mounts over the rear pillion or is it side boxes? Where did you order yours? Twisted Throttled?

I just got the side cases in today. They're the v35's with the Motech mounting system. I have an E55 topcase and Motech top rack on back order from twistedthrottle.com. Looks like it won't be here on time. Probably going to have to use my old set up for the top luggage.

Do it now cause it gets harder when you get older and have more responsibilities. I'd take a 6 month trip to TDF if I wasn't married and had a kid.

The road between Banff and Jasper is an awesome drive, would be worth the extra 4 hours for me.
I also prefer Jasper over Banff, it's a smaller town.

Random advice: don't stop at any fastfood place that has a tour bus parked out front if you have to use the bathroom.

I'm going to print up several I.C.E. contacts and stash them in different areas on the bike.

Load CRADAR app and have it on for that much riding alone.
