I actually like road trips and prefer driving at night. Driving makes me relax because I know I can't be doing anything else, forces me not to worry. Nights have less traffic and temps stay even. You can really get your think on behind the wheel of a purring diesel and miles of road.

Offically turned onto US 129, aka the Dragon. Not to the mountains yet. Internet gets spotty up in there.

Awesome, i have been wanting to get a toy hauler (powered, not trailer style) for a while.
That being said, please tell us you are not going to drive a travel trailer through Deals Gap? More than being inconsiderate to everyone else riding/driving that road, it is terribly dangerous for anyone sharing the road with you. , I have a titanium rod in my left thigh as a reminder of someone's decision to try it.

Big, no. We've been to the Dragon before and had to drive it in just our truck to pick up my broken Aprilia. Its literaly not possible to tow that trailer through there, we'd wreck it. They aren't dumb around here and have RV parks set up where you don't have to drive the Dragon, and bad choice if people choose to drive it anyway. Never neen a fan of powered RVs, way more expensive, more complex with another engine to service, more insurance costs. Only reason we got this toy hauler is it was essentially half price, got it for what he had left on the loan which wasn't much!

Just got up from sleeping 12 hours. We drove non-stop from Texas to rigging the Wagon then to the Dragon so we were beat! Tons of rain for the next few days :(. Decided to wait for it to clear so heading to civilization for supplies. Going to set up work in the Wagon and get stuff done. Also going to see what kind of GoPro setups I can do on the SVs while I've got the time.

Rain plagued us on Sunday and Monday and we rode the Dragon 4 times anyway on Monday. Finally today wasn't too bad once the roads dried out. We were going to ride the Cherohala Skyway, but the rain was settled over in that area of the country. So instead we rode the Dragon for most of the day. It's just as badass as I remembered!

Managed to barely get a knee down in a corner, which was cool since I wasn't trying for it! Chicken strip is gone, interested to see what the pro photographers photos look like once they post them in a few days.

I don't feel like logging chix out so I'll post as her.

Pictures of yesterday are up. Here's a quickie I grabbed off the web. Nothing spectacular but it is photo proof of us on the dragon. Boy it was wet that run!
