eBay Fairings

Has anyone bought these fairings on ebay? If so is it a pain in the to install? Waste of money?

I liked mine. They were on the bike for three years before it was sold. I had no problems at all. Only thing is it took almost two months to get here but they were very good with communication. I got mine from the Auctmarts eBay store.

Bought auctionmart before, for a 09 cbr & would NOT buy them for that bike again! They fit like total , and paint looks decent on them but the clear is not a nice hard urithane clear. I wouldn't say I wouldn't recommend them, but for most bikes you can pick up mismatch stock plastics and have them painted & have much better quality for the same price or less...

My 2 cents

It really depends on the company. Some fairings come pre-drilled for mounting while others dont. Some brands fit perfect and some dont align perfect. I have known two people to have these fairings. The first person got the blue seven stars kit and the stuff didnt align well and required slight modification. The other guy had a repsol kit which looked awesome. The only thing about the repsol one is that the plastic was weak and the front fender broke off one day after a wheelie.

well I repair surfboards and I had some fiberglass and resins left from my last project so i just mock the oem mounts and transfer it to the aftermarket ones.

If its the ones that come pre-painted from China...forget it. They don't fit right and flimsy as . I ended up buying an OEM replacement with slight damage instead.

So Where the do you get fairings for less than what the entire bike is worth?!?! OEM fairings cost around $200 each piece!!! at that price it will cost close to 3k+Shipping for a set

I have had good luck with them.

It comes down to the installer. I have seen people who dont have experence try to put on OEM factory ones and cussed that they didnt fit. If you take your time with the replicas you will be pleased I assure you.

I installed a set of replicas the guy said they didnt line up for . 2 hours later I had them on and looking good without modifing them.
