The 08's had $2500 in bonus bucks and had an interest rate of 0.99%. I saw them as low as $7200, so about $8000 otd. Great deal at the time. Everyone hated the looks of the new model, and Honda produced too many. I wish I would of picked one up then. Personally, it's hard to get over the issue of paying so much more now for the exact same bike. That coupled with the oil consumption issue.

ABS CBRs aren't easy to find. 2009 was the first year for the CBR

I'd try any one of a number of Honda dealers in the Houston area. Stubbs is a MH sponsor. PM Texmex1

The ABS if I remember correctly added roughly 25 pounds to the bike. Pretty heavy when you compare it to the competition at 5 pounds. As you know, having ABS on the bike seemed for some to be more trouble than it was worth.

I doubt they have any 08s left. They were actually going for $6,500 in 2010 when I bought an 08 and unfortunately the only ones I could find were out of state. Apparently you have to be present at the dealership to sign off on new Hondas. At least that is what I was told. I found a used one for $7,500 with bells and whistles. It's crazy that people are asking more than that now. I should have kept it.

It adds 21 lbs. I'm on my second ABS CBR and I'd gladly buy another. If you've never ridden or owned one you have no idea what you're missing. What bike has ABS that only adds 5 pounds?

By the way, put 10,000 miles on my 600 and 30,000 on my 1KRR with no issues
