I just use some thermals, they're under armour but plenty of other brands are available. You're basically looking for a flexible material to let the leather slide on instead of getting caught against your skin so nearly anything works. UA is pretty comfy, cheaper brands can be itchy.

thermals that "keep heat in" during the summer would be VERY bad, you need wicking one's during the summer.

They've worked fine for me for the past couple of years in all weather with my leathers and seemed to wick great, but YMMV. Just throwing out my own personal experience with it.
