That cafe is one sexy commuter bike. Also if it sounds half as good as it did in the video it is the best sounding 250 around.

Actually they have a 300 jug & piston you can order, and supposedly the 500 is in the works. They also have a reworked head, pipe and larger carb that'll boost the stock 250 power into the 20+hp range at the rear wheel.
I was in Albuquerque a couple of weeks ago and happened to pass a local dealer so I stopped in. They really look good, comfortable. Sadly I did not get to ride one but I would seriously consider it as a contender for a commuter. I would be hesitant to pull one out into Houston interstate traffic, though and there is the rub. My work moves from job site to job site, so I may have a short surface street commute for a year but then I am hauling across the entire city for 18 months. Nevertheless, I like weird and this definitely fits the bill.

The CCW are descent bikes. The Lifan engine seems to be solid. I haven't heard of any having issues. The only issue I have seen on a couple are the valves tightening after about 15 miles on the odo causing a poor idle. Valves can be adjusted in 15 minutes with 3 tools.

I got a demo in the store back in Feb and rode the heck out of it. The red line is 12k and when I first saw that on the tach I sort of scratched my head. Sure enough I eventually got the courage to get the revs that high. Really there's no point in going over 10k. You can feel the power taper off around there.

Cheap fun bikes for getting around downtown. They'll do 75, but I wouldn't recommend them for everyday highway use.

(... I own the dealership in Austin)

I recently received unreleased photos of the motard. They are using a bike developed by chrisitini except it's not AWD. Just a 450 clone of this bike:
