there is more to this story than PoPo is laying out there, and i am not going to go into it.. .he can if he wants to.. but to set the record straight, PoPo is not the kind of guy who is going to go out there and asshat it and put folks in danger... he is having a theoretical internet go at how some of the rules are set up and the problems that can be associated with the rules and their enforcement... I would ride with him and not be concerned about it.

I, as can be verified by previous posts, love arguing Popo up a tree. That's on the internet though. I have ridden with him many times over and will continue to do so in the future. Most times I'm nagging him to ride more aggressively.

PoPo takes the gold?

Well, you know what they say about winning an argument online...

If you're pacing on fast end of the Int group at any particular td then you are probably passing inside, and also passing at closer than 6ft and doing so inside your comfort zone.

Just sayin.

HA HA
Its not that, aggressive is fine. But also fair too.
I don't know him, nothing against him. Chris is right, it is all safer than Houston riders.
I just don't like the hypocrisy. Several weeks ago we had a helicopter picking up Corey from GSS, no one was talking like that then.
We don't need incidents to remind us of the rules. i'm 42 and I have to accept the fact that I have to compete with people who are 22 that are more ambitious and on a different mind set, only i hope i am wiser to make the right proactive decisions.

What's Cory's wreck got to do with breaking the rules?

You're proving my point. The lap time MINIMUMS that some organizations post are limits to prevent slow riders from going up too soon, not to promote faster riders to move up ("graduating"). Because passing a lap time threshold does not imply you are ready for the next level if you still need to work on some aspects say, body position. But knowing the minimum lap times sometimes helps to know where you stand, and it can be ONE of the factors that will get you to move up, NOT the ONLY factor.

oh good !!!

I don't know. I never did STT, WERA or NESBA (unless they had an "open" track day) due to the membership requirements and given that up north we only have a 4 month window for track days and each track is 4-6 hours away it wasn't worth the money unless you were really flexible with time and finances (hotel rooms too) to do it every other weekend. So I love Houston
The rules are from the blackhawk raceway track days that motovid and cycle clinic did in the midwest. Those are non membership organizations just like you guys have here with ridesmart, fastline, lstd ...etc
