I turned a few laps at Katy and been to a tmgp race or two. If I wasn't 6"5' I'd probably get involved.

You gotta admit though, it's pretty hilarious watching grown men be so serious on a mini bike running about 34mph down the front straight..

If you weren't the size of a vanilla gorilla you'd probably see 36mph.

this thread is supposed to be about TMGP, not Cdill. If at his size he can not be competitive out there and he is not having a good time, I understand his not coming back... me, I have one of a good time, and to me, that is what riding and racing is about, having a good time... I do not have to finish first to enjoy it. I am serious about having a good time.

Size has nothing to do with it. I am six foot and was closer to 270 at the time. We placed in the top ten overall and in the top three for our class. I dont remember the specifics and am to lazy to research.

It doesn't matter what your racing...tmgp, bicycles, lawnmowers, CMRA...its all for some serious fun when you run mechanically similiar items, you get to build skills.

my applogies for trying to inject alittle humor into the thread by poking fun at branDt and his size complex

I will be on my way....please continue with your seriousness of tmgp racing, last I checked it was all about having fun

I think you were right, Brandt's ramblings were just excuses, he is not too tall or too heavy to be competitive... maybe he just has too many irons in the fire right now... I wish we could get him out there, I bet i could learn a few things following him around and improve my riding..
, why don't you loan him your bike so i can follow him around,,, but don't watch, I don't want you picking up any tips... your too hard to catch as it is.

as to the bike I would suggest...I asked the same question just a few months back and got lots of opinions...for me the best choice was a crf100... it fit me better than the shorter kx65 or klx110... there are lots of aftermarket items for it and lots of mods you can do to it if you want to make it faster and move up in class... right now I am racing it stock with only an aftermarket exhaust, moto wheels and tires, and a fork brace...i can race superstock and be fairly competitive in F7, I am going to make some brake and suspension modifications and add the 115 kit and that will still let me do all the f7 races and play in F6 with out being too embarassed.
at your size and weight you may also look at the klx110, either would be a fine choice... the kx65 is smaller and quicker, but limits the classes you can ride in.
TMGP is not cheap, but it is the least expensive way to actually race... and the folks out there are some of the nicest folks you are ever going to ride with.. and it is something your whole family can enjoy... do it with your kids and even your grandkids... at 61 I am not the oldest rider out there. I see you are in the heights area, not too far from me... if you would like you are welcome to come by my place and look my bike over and get an idea what you might like to do. IF you want to do that just PM me and i will send you my address and phone number to set it up.

I'm a four stroke fan, particular to CRF/XR100's. I hope I can make it next year.

your old crf100 was ridden by Rob and the boys to a first place finish in the F7 endurance race in Denton.
