I would guess around $205... sales tax, title transfer and tags. You can call the county tax assesors office and they will tell you over the phone.

They will either go off of your claimed sale price, or the fair market value they look up in their system for your bike, which ever is higher. IMHO, their FMV would probably be lower than $2k for your bike.

Bear in mind if you apply for the Title after a certain number of days (40days?) since the purchase date, you'll have to pay a penalty. It's not much, but relative to $200 might be substantial.

How will they know when the purchase date was?

Do they go by something else or just when the title was signed by the original owner and dated over.
