This exhaust worth a ?

Want something pretty loud. Bike has a yoshi slip on and just isn't loud enough for my liking. Plan on doing full exhaust later but looking for a temporary pipe that will let cars know I'm around. Bike is an 04 R6

or you could just cut the slip on that you already have. That would make it pretty loud.

I hate the way it sits up so fckn high and is bulky. I dunno why, it reminds me too much of stock. I dont reckon theres an undertail exhaust that isnt a whole undertail/exhaust kit? Kinda like the cbr's? I really hate the stock can look and want that low profile look.

A full system for you would be a waste of $$ as it will make your bike lighter but will have 0 effect on volume.

that under tail exhaust was a major reason I got a CBR, and those low profile exhaust sound like to me. but to each its own. I still go with cutting the one you have.

Yeah my fav is the CBR's but beggers cant be choosers so I got this R6. My next bike will be a cbr1k or a 600. I love how they look. Why dont you like the way they sound? Too raspy?

Effect the motor at all? Sorry for noob questions. I'm not looking for "extra performance" since the bike is already plenty powerful for me. I'm just trying to not hinder the current performance and wanna make it much louder.

Nope wont affect your motor, but people around you will be annoyed and quickly realize what an obnoxious you are for wanting to run with no muffler.

LOL, all is good with me. I'd rather people be annoyed and realize I'm next to them than them change lanes and run me off the road.

I asked my buddy if me running no muffler/open header would be bad and he said not to do it b/c it's hard on the engine.

Walk me through how exactly an exhaust system is setup on a motorcyle. I'm a car guy, so I'm new to this.
Header, midpipe, muffler??

I also hate the way its so big and bulky like the stock can. Lemme try to dig up a thread about cutting a yoshi slip on before I start asking more questions lol.

Running no exhaust is bad. Cuts out necessary back pressure. Going to decrease mpg by a huge amount and can screw up your valves by allowing cooler air into your motor from the exhaust exit and cause parts to cool too quickly.

So I def need to have a midpipe and muffler? Can I run no muffler? I dont want to be SUPER OBNOXIOUSLY loud but I do want to be louder than most streetbikes and for all cars around me to know that I'm there. I def want the gas mpg also.

Just run a muffler cause strait headers won't suck for you but for everyone else it will and that's a cop magnet
