2014 European MotoGP Tour - A Bucket List Adventure

An idea I'm working on with Edelweiss Tours;

In September of 2014

Fly into Florence, Italy - Pick up rental bikes and tour guide
Ride to Misano, Italy for MotoGP weekend, attend races
Ride to Bologna, Italy to tour Ducati Factory
Moto-tour Italy, France, Spain (10 days)
Ride to Aragon, Spain for MotoGP weekend, attend races
Ride to Barcelona
Fly home

The assumption at this time is that the San Marino and Aragon events will still be scheduled as they currently are. The schedule will change in 2013 to accommodate the addition of the Argentina and Austin, TX events. My hope is that these two events will stay where they are. If not then two other consecutive events will be chosen.

Still working out costs with Edelweiss. I currently have 6 people interested and will need at least 8 to actually book the tour as it will be a custom tour. Bikes will be picked up in Florence and left in Barcelona. Edelweiss will handle returning bikes to Florence.

I've found a tour operator that will support the project with a minimum commitment of 8 adventurous souls. The operator, http://www.edelweissbike.com/ , will provide a guide, plan the route, make hotel arrangements, meet us at the airport, supply the bikes, and return the bikes to Italy after we've flown out of Barcelona.

I've made contact with them ant have been assigned a rep. We're still working out costs.

Also, if interested you can go to their website to look at the bikes they offer. So far I'm leaning towards the Multistrada...
